Novant Health Forsyth Medical Center's orthopedic team will work with you to diagnose and treat your problem quickly, getting you back to your favorite activities as soon as possible.  At Novant Health Orthopedic Center, we use the most advanced imaging and technology to pinpoint the source and cause of your pain, whether it is from trauma, a fracture, sprain or tear, tumor, cyst, or from a disease such as arthritis.

Our caring staff will work with you to create a treatment plan which truly targets your needs. We may suggest lifestyle changes that could make a difference. We’ll help you consider all options, including medication, rehabilitative therapy, surgery and total joint replacement.

If surgery is required, many orthopedic surgeries can be done on an outpatient basis, using minimally invasive arthroscopic and laser surgery that can shorten your hospital stay and speed your recovery.

Our orthopedic surgeons are board certified and specialty or fellowship trained, and our radiologists, anesthesiologists, nurses and therapists have specialized skills in orthopedics. As an inpatient, you’ll receive care in surgical suites and a nursing unit that are dedicated to orthopedics. And you can start your recovery in the inpatient therapy gym.

To give you the quality care, our orthopedic experts focus in specific treatment areas:

  • Spine surgery , including the quality spinal stabilization techniques and treatment for conditions such as disc herniation, stenosis, osteoporosis, scoliosis, rheumatoid arthritis and tumors.

  • Foot and ankle , including bunions, heel pain, numbness, amputations and complications from diabetes.

  • Hand and wrist , including congenital disorders, arthritis, carpal tunnel syndrome, contractures and nerve damage.

  • Sports medicine , including fractures, anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) injuries, rotator cuff, shoulder dislocation, back problems and tennis elbow.

  • Sports performance , including computerized motion analysis and conditioning programs to help you reach the top of your game.

At Forsyth Medical Center, we’re with you all the way, and that includes sophisticated pain management and full-service rehabilitation.

We can help you overcome muscle, bone and joint pain and enjoy life again.
