Nationally Recognized Care
Novant Health hospitals earn top honors for emergency patient care quality and service. We consistently earn recognition from the American Heart Association/American Stroke Association with “Get with the Guidelines” and “Life Mission: Lifeline NSTEMI Gold Quality” achievement awards.
The awards recognize a hospital’s commitment and success in giving patients the most appropriate treatment for stroke and heart failure according to nationally recognized, research-based guidelines built on the latest scientific evidence.
Designated Level II Trauma Centers
All Novant Health emergency rooms are equipped to get you the care you or your loved ones need when you get hurt. However, two of our hospitals have gone above and beyond in their commitment to provide advanced trauma services: They have achieved Level II Trauma Center designations by the American College of Surgeons.
Our Level II Trauma Centers are ready to provide rapid, life-saving treatment to all patients — adults and children — through our multidisciplinary team of expert surgeons and specialists available 24/7. These trauma hospitals have made staying on the leading edge of trauma care integral to the entire facility's operation via constant quality assessment and improvement, continuing education programs, and regular, rigorous reverification. They also provide community trauma education and resources.
If these trauma centers are near you and when possible, these are the hospitals to seek out for most of the most complex, life-threatening injuries.
Committed care for heart attacks and strokes
Heart attacks and strokes are leading causes of death and long-term disability. Our emergency rooms are nationally recognized by the American Heart Association, which credits Novant Health with consistently exceeding national benchmarks for heart attack and stroke care. We also use the latest technologies, including artificial intelligence, to save lives and improve recovery.
