Cardiac rehabilitation
We also offer a cardiac rehabilitation program
for patients with heart disease. During this program, our team of
experienced cardiac nurses and specialists will work with you to
create an individualized and closely monitored exercise plan.
Sophisticated risk assessment is performed using NMR lipid profiles and, if appropriate, carotid and abdominal ultrasounds.The results of these tests are combined with the patient's clinical history, family history, and additional labs to develop a risk assessment and reduction plan.This plan will always include lifestyle change and may also include medication to treat a patient's abnormal lipid and lipidprotein levels.
Staffed by a group of dedicated professionals,
the program includes exercise therapy, nutrition education and
counseling, psychosocial education and counseling, and smoking
cessation and support. Using state-of-the-art cardiovascular exercise
equipment at our rehab facility, you will be able to safely improve
your aerobic conditioning and ensure that you can continue living a
healthy and active life.
