Arthroscopic Surgery

Arthroscopic surgery treats joint problems, and our orthopedic surgeons may use it to diagnose an issue when imaging studies don't provide enough information. This is a minor surgical procedure, so you can usually go home the same day.

Your surgeon may use a fiber-optic video camera inserted through a small incision to look inside your joint. These images are transmitted to a high-definition (HD) video monitor to help your provider determine the extent of the damage.

Orthopedic surgeons use minimally invasive methods to treat joint conditions using thin surgical instruments. Arthroscopic rotator cuff repair and knee arthroscopy are two standard procedures.
