At Novant Health, your family medicine residency is shaped by hands-on training in diverse, high-quality care settings across the Charlotte region. You will care for patients in a community-focused outpatient clinic and train in leading medical centers offering advanced inpatient and specialty services. This will give you experience across the full continuum of family medicine while building the skills and confidence to thrive in any practice.
Simulation lab access
As a Novant Health medical resident in Charlotte, you’ll have the opportunity to train in a leading-edge simulation lab through our partnership with Central Piedmont Community College. This facility allows you to practice realistic patient care scenarios — from outpatient clinic visits to surgery — for hands-on experience caring for a wide range medical conditions of varying severity. The lab features immersive simulations, sophisticated recording and review technology, and immediate feedback to support the development of your clinical and diagnostic skills.
