Our primary care pediatricians provide physicals, routine checkups, sick visits and vaccinations. They can also offer guidance and support as your child ages and develops. With our team of compassionate and dedicated primary pediatric care providers, you can rest easy knowing your child is in good hands.
On-demand virtual visits
Seeing your healthcare provider when and where you need to has never been easier. With our virtual care options, Novant Health brings our services and medical experts to you and your child. We offer on-demand virtual visits to our patients, with various providers and services available. The process is simple. Create a Novant Health MyChart online account, sign in and select "Start an on-demand video visit." You'll then be prompted to choose the type of care and physician.
How do I find a pediatrician?
Your pediatrician will provide care for your child through their teens, so you'll want to find the best fit for your family. We make it easy to find an expert you and your child feel comfortable partnering with. Search through our large network of children's primary care providers to find providers by location, specialty and area of focus. You also can see patient ratings, if they're accepting new patients, and what languages they speak.
How do I choose the right fit?
You want to make sure you're choosing a provider who will make your child feel comfortable and put them at ease. After viewing our provider list and narrowing down your options, you may want to bring your child for a visit. The right fit can make a world of difference in how your child views visits to the doctor.
What if my child needs a specialist?
When your child's medical condition requires specialized care, we want to make finding them as easy as possible. Novant Health offers an extensive network of pediatric specialties beyond our primary care pediatric services. Some of our pediatric primary care providers are also specialists in pediatric sub-fields.
Using our provider search tool, select 'doctor details' and 'specialist.' You'll be given a list of pediatric specialists within our network. You'll also be able to review their specialties, where they're located, and their availability.
Requesting an appointment
We make visiting the doctor easy. You can make an appointment online, using MyChart, or by calling your provider’s office. Same-day appointments for illnesses may be available. When requesting an appointment, our staff helps you find the provider and location that best fits your needs. On-demand visits can also be made through our MyChart web tool or MyChart mobile app (available for both google and iOS systems).
Will insurance cover my child's care?
Novant Health is committed to working with our patients and insurance providers to encourage coverage when you use one of our services. However, what gets covered is ultimately determined by the insurance providers. To better understand what pediatric services your health insurance plan will cover, contact a representative from your insurance provider.

To view hours, use our location finder tool, search locations on an interactive map, select by type or proximity and view their hours. Our emergency rooms are open 24/7. Our urgent care and walk-in locations also offer evening and weekend hours.

Novant Health MyChart is a convenient, secure way to manage your healthcare online. With MyChart, you can review your medical records, schedule appointments, find providers and nearby locations and engage in virtual care sessions.
Once your teen turns 13, they can create their own MyChart account.
