TFCC Tear

What is a wrist cartilage (TFCC) tear?

A triangular fibrocartilage complex (TFCC) tear is damage to the cartilage and ligaments on the small-finger side of the wrist. It usually results from a fall, repetitive strain or age-related wear and can range from mild fraying to a complete tear.

Understanding the TFCC

The TFCC connects the ulna (outer forearm bone) to the wrist bones and helps support the wrist during rotation and weight-bearing.
