Bereavement care support
The loss of your pregnancy or child is a painful experience no matter what the circumstances. As you and your family adjust to your loss, you may need extra support. The team at Novant Health is prepared to offer support during this time in a comforting, compassionate environment.
We work with you to ensure your family’s wishes are respected and honored while considering your emotional, physical, spiritual, and cultural needs as part of the grieving process.
Families facing difficult decisions during their pregnancies may be referred to our Family Perinatal and Neonatal Supportive Care Team based in Winston-Salem.
These specialists, including maternal-fetal medicine providers, will explain your baby's condition and what you can expect. Together with you and your family, our team will discuss your options and help develop an advanced care plan that fits your individual needs.
