Professional sports in Charlotte
As the home to professional teams in almost every sport, Charlotte has something for every fan: the Carolina Panthers NFL team, Charlotte Hornets NBA team, and the Charlotte Knights, a minor league baseball team who's uptown stadium is framed by gorgeous skyline views. Just up I-85 in Concord, you’ll find NASCAR and other motorsports.

Simulation lab access
As a Novant Health medical resident in Charlotte, you’ll have the opportunity to train in a leading-edge simulation lab through our partnership with Central Piedmont Community College. This facility allows you to practice realistic patient care scenarios — from outpatient clinic visits to surgery — for hands-on experience caring for a wide range medical conditions of varying severity. The lab features immersive simulations, sophisticated recording and review technology, and immediate feedback to support the development of your clinical and diagnostic skills.
