Welcome to Novant Health Presbyterian Medical Center
At Novant Health Presbyterian Medical Center, we are welcoming a new era in healthcare, where achieving good health is just the beginning. We believe in caring for the whole person by getting to know you, having conversations, and making connections with our patients.
Presbyterian Medical Center, a nonprofit, 622-bed tertiary medical center, is located in Charlotte, N.C. We exist to improve the health of the communities we serve with a vision of providing a remarkable patient experience in every dimension, every time. We accomplish that mission by providing excellent healthcare services and by supporting the Charlotte community through partnerships and outreach.
For over a century, we have provided the residents of this region with nationally-recognized, quality care. Presbyterian Medical Center is designated a Magnet hospital by the American Nurses Credentialing Center. Magnet designation is the nation’s highest honor for excellence in nursing, and only 5 percent of hospitals in the country have achieved this honor.
Since 1903, Presbyterian Medical Center has been a cornerstone of the Charlotte community. With 7,000 employees and over 700 physicians on medical staff, we are the one of the largest medical centers in the region and are recognized throughout the state and across the country for our quality care, outstanding patient satisfaction and commitment to giving back to our community.
Our leading-edge health services range from prevention and early detection to breakthrough treatments in cancer, stroke and heart disease. To bring even more advanced care to our region, we have partnered with some of the most reputable healthcare organizations in the country, like Cleveland Clinic Heart & Vascular Institute – ranked #1 year after year for comprehensive cardiovascular care. We are the only hospital in the region to offer heart and vascular services in affiliation with Cleveland Clinic.
