Children are meant to be active, so keeping them physically healthy and avoiding injury is important. If an injury does occur, you want to make sure your child can safely return to athletics. Our specialists can help at Novant Health Pediatric Sports Medicine – Matthews. Our providers are dedicated to assessing and treating pediatric sports injuries and orthopedic concerns affecting movement in children. We serve young people beginning at one years old up to age 22. Conditions our medical providers treat include concussions, bone dislocations, sprains and fractures, scoliosis (curvature of the spine) and intoeing (turning the feet inward when walking).

If your child is eager to spend time on the court or playing field, our providers will work with them to get them back to the activity they enjoy as fast as safely possible. Our team also includes an athletic trainer who can help your child move past a current injury or prevent a future one.
