Paying your bill

Managing your bills after receiving care can be overwhelming. It isn't uncommon to have several different providers participate in your care. Afterward, you may receive invoices from each of those providers.

We understand the added stress this can place on you and are here to help. We offer patient financial services to help you understand your bill and make the payment process easier.

For more information about paying your bill, call our billing center toll-free Monday through Friday between 7 a.m. and 6 p.m. at 1-844-266-8268. You can also make payments online.

Health insurance plans

In most cases, we will bill your primary health insurance company directly. We may ask for your help in contacting them if we haven't heard from them after 30 – 45 days. Amounts that are denied, rejected or unpaid may become your responsibility, depending on your plan type and benefits. Learn more about our accepted insurance plans.

Medicare and Medicaid

If you have Medicare, we will bill it first and then bill unpaid amounts to any supplemental insurance policies you may have. All unpaid balances may become your responsibility, depending on your plan type and benefits.

If you have a Medicaid insurance product, we will bill in accordance with your plan's policy. If we are not listed as a provider with your Medicaid product, you may be responsible for the balance.

Workers' Compensation

If the bill is related to treatment for an on-the-job injury or accident, we will file a claim with your employer's Workers' Compensation insurance carrier after authorization. Claims that are denied may ultimately become your responsibility, but we'll work with you to sort out payment options.

Self-pay options and financial assistance for the uninsured

For your convenience, we accept most forms of payment including cash, checks, Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover credit cards. Any patient is eligible for an individual payment plan based on the amount due and the patient's financial status, with terms extending up to five years. If you are uninsured with an income over 300 percent of the federal poverty level, you are eligible for a self-pay discount. Any patient with a balance over 20 percent of their gross annual income is eligible for a catastrophic settlement.

Financial navigator services

Our financial navigator service provides help estimating your insurance-coverage and out-of-pocket expenses acquired while receiving care at our hospital. One of our financial navigators will ask you about your insurance and medical procedure, then provide you with an estimate of the procedure's cost as well as payment options.

Accessing the service is quick and easy. To contact one of our financial navigators, call 336-277-7299 or toll-free 1-888-277-3901, Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Voicemail is available for after-hours or weekend calls.
