Community Garden
NHNHRMC has a beautiful community garden with 24 raised beds for its team members and community members to enjoy. With the help of volunteers, we grow seasonal produce year round. The garden is open to anyone who would like to work or harvest! The garden also serves as a classroom for team member cooking classes. We teach classes on healthy cooking, how to use local produce growing food at home and more.
Location
The community garden is located at beside Novant Health Heart & Vascular Institute - Wilmington Main at 1415 Physician’s Drive, Wilmington, NC 28401.
When you turn into the outpatient Heart Center and are looking right at main building it is all the way in the back-left corner.
Get Involved
Interested in helping in the garden on a regular basis? We can use help with tasks including but not limited to: watering, planting, harvesting, and weeding. We have volunteers who just pop over when they have the time, sign up for a scheduled watering “shift” and even a couple of departments who come out once a month on a rotating schedule.
