Wrist and Finger Sprains
What are Wrist and Finger Sprains?
The bones of the hand and wrist are kept properly aligned by strong bands of connective tissue known as ligaments. A sprain occurs when one or more of these ligaments are injured. Mild sprains involve partial ligament damage, while severe sprains involve a complete tear. Sprains of the fingers and wrist are very common and are typically minor.
