I chose Wilmington for its robust inpatient training, its diverse and dynamic patient population, and the warmth and beauty of the community. From the moment I got to know the program, I could picture myself growing into a confident, well-rounded psychiatrist here.

Choosing [this program] was an easy decision, primarily due to the unique training opportunity offered by its combined civilian-military psychiatry program... every single person I met during my audition rotation was so friendly and welcoming that it immediately made me feel at home.

This is one of the most unique, comprehensive training experiences in all of psychiatry. The combined military-civilian partnership allows us to see a wide range of psychopathology across multiple environments and health systems to truly have an all-encompassing education and build our confidence.

I felt a very welcoming atmosphere the moment I met my new community in the healthcare system. Having that positive work environment means a lot to me.

I’m excited for the opportunity to train in a strong clinical environment while serving a diverse patient population. I’m especially interested in working with the military community at Camp Lejeune. I also appreciate the setting that supports both professional growth and life outside of medicine.
