Growing up, the medical field was far from my mind. I spent much of my time turning wrenches in my family's auto shop and traveling the country competitively racing go-karts. In high school, I joined my local volunteer rescue squad. It was then that I discovered there was a surgical specialty that involved replacing worn-out joints and fixing broken bones using the same types of tools I had used my whole life.

I knew then that orthopedics was my future. It was only when I started practicing it...

Explained what had caused the sudden agonizing pain and deep bruising in my left hip, said nothing I had done had caused it, and told me I needn't be afraid of continuing exercises to develop strength and balance as before the injury.

I am 82 years old and have undergone many surgeries in my life, and I can say without a doubt that this is the best, most friendly, and informed doctor I have ever had.His bedside manner is extremely excellent. Sr. Pierce is great. He was concerned about me and provided the care I needed. He has been moved to another office in our area. I drove over 30 miles just to see him. Yet, he will continue to be my doctor for my orthopedic issues.
