He was very honest and forthright about my condition which I appreciated. He became more aggressive with my meds and treatment plan. I am a little better today and hope to keep improving.

He was my husband's doctor and after his death he was concerned about how I was dealing with the loss. Just to be clear he had nothing to do with his death as it was a head injury resulting from a fall which left him with brain damage. Mostly I trust him!

Dr Afanador was great! I was expecting to go in and see an express care doctor, but Dr Afanador stepped in the room. I knew he was a doctor at the primary care because I work at a dermatology office and had seen his referrals. He explained that because my pcp is a novant doctor they like to "take care of their own." He listened to me and was even available after the appointment on my chart when I had questions. I couldn't have been happier with my first experience as a patient of Dr. Afanador and the entire staff and facilities at Novant's Autumn Hall location. I was advised to arrive 15 minutes ahead of my appointment. I had been given a link for forms to fill out online ahead of my appointment and for the first time ever at a doctor's office, I did not have to fill out any additional forms when I got there because they were all done. I arrived a little more than 15 minutes ahead of time because I was running early and I was brought back early. The nurses/medical assistants (Tonya and Justine) were both friendly and helpful. Dr. Afanador is easy going and thorough. I have full confidence that should I have any future health concerns (this visit was a routine visit to establish care) I will be well taken care of. After the visit, I got my COVID shot and had my labs drawn and I was out of the office only 30 minutes after my scheduled appointment time, which was phenomenal. Plus, by the time I got home from work later that day, I already had my lab results and a note from Dr. Afanador waiting in my portal. A wonderful experience all around.
