I grew up in a busy household with four siblings and an in-home day care, so I've been around children my whole life. I couldn't imagine going into a profession that didn't involve helping kids in some way.

Pediatrics allows me to work with children, their parents and be part of a team dedicated to helping kids grow into healthy, well-adjusted young adults. I am a firm believer in evidence-based healthcare because it's rooted in science, puts the patient first and leads to the best outcomes.
