As a child, I was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes, which my father also has. It was a lot to take in and manage, and the experience inspired me to go into medicine. I specifically was - and am - interested in endocrine disorders.

You feel like you are cared about and you feeling like you should have been their patience from the start and maybe I would have all the problems I have if more doctors are and stuff like them it would be a simpler to understand what was going on with me.
