Dr. Max Shenin spent a lot of time discussing treatment options in detail and planning the next course of action with me. He has a wonderful trove of knowledge which he supplements with the most updated facts online. He is taking a cautious approach, having me see an endocrinologist to confirm the next step he is considering. He's personable and has established a good rapport.

I absolutely love my Nurses Monica and Liz, and Katherine Russell and Dr. Shenan. Always treated with the utmost respect. My dr's explain things to me on a way I can understand.

I started seeing Dr. Shenin shortly after he moved to the Wilmington area. I had my PCP refer me to a new Rheumatologist because I was very unhappy with the one that I'd been seeing for many years. Dr. Shenin was like a breath of fresh air after my previous experience. He listened to me and respected my knowledge of my disease and also respected how I've chosen and choose to approach treatment for my disease. This was not the case with my previous Rheumatologist. Whenever I hear of anyone needing to see a Rheumatologist I immediately recommend Dr. Shenin. I would not want to go to anyone else.

I am always nervous, but they put me at ease. Treat me with respect!

Good experience

The doctor made me feel, so what is an able to talk about what's going on with my health and his assurance that he was going to be there to find out what was wrong and help me through it

I just could not receive better care. I don't see that as possible. It is extremely comforting to have a health care provider I trust so completely. It allows me to go about living my life, completely confident my health is being carefully monitored.

Everything was great

Dr. Shenin was knowledgeable, personable and provided answers to my questions. He had bloodwork drawn, wrote a response in My Chart to explain the results. He is very thorough and explained the next possible steps moving forward. He suggested one of my current meds may be causing my symptoms and put a plan in place with my PCP to go off my one med for 1 month to see if the pain subsides. It was my first visit and I would highly recommend him to others. My only disappointment is that it took 5 months to get an appointment. He was recommended by two other physicians that I've seen. I needed to make a 3 month followup appt., but was disappointed to learn I have to see his assistant. The staff was booking appointments for Dr. Shenin 6 months out.

All on time and handled very efficiently.

He explained the next steps and what to expect depending on the outcome. Test results were quickly uploaded to my patient portal and messages to Dr. Shenin were very promptly answered. It was a good visit

Dr Shenin was the dr who noticed that my liver enzymes were high and sent me to the hospital immediately. I had stones stuck in my bile duct. If he didn't notice I don't know when I would have been treated. Dr Shenin is a great dr. Liz his medical assistant is also amazing

First visit with Dr.Shenin. He is fantastic. He is very attentive and thorough. I left with a plan for assessing my needs. So very glad I switched to his practice.

Dr Shenin is amazing but currently the wait to visit him again is 6months out. He wanted to see me in 3. So I'm having to see him at zoom at 730am. This is absurd. He needs one to two more drs in his practice. He's a great physician but no physician can work like this. His NP can't handle my complicated case. You need more MDs in rheumatology. Currently, I'm forced to see only him with mu husband's employee insurance. If he left my husband would be forced to find employment elsewhere because there are no other rheumatologist at nhrmc. Please fund this department properly!

I think the phlebotomist needs to be made aware patients are waiting to get blood drawn. I waited a long time and had to go to the desk to inquire about the delay. They took me immediately which leads me to believe they were not adequately informed someone was waiting.

It would be best to notify first appointments in the morning that the doors don't open prior to 7:45. Many of us arrived early as instructed and had to wait outside until the doors were opened.

Dr. Shenin is the most thoughtful, kind and caring doctor I have ever had. He has tried so consciensciously to help me in every way. I have improved so much since I went under his care.

Doctor Shenin was very welcoming and listened to everything I have been going through. As we talked he was trying to figure out what might have caused my illness, since I have pretty much gotten over it since my appointment was made. As we talked he made notes of it all and told me he wasn't sure but gave me his best guess as to what caused it and it made sense to me that could have been it. He had me do a blood test so he could analyze it compared to other recent blood tests. Overall, I feel very good about his care.
