About

Growing up in Chatham County, North Carolina, my parents worked at UNC Hospitals. My mother was an X-ray tech by day; my father a respiratory therapist by night. Hospital "handoffs" gave me my first exposure to the fast-paced, highly impactful world of healthcare.

I wanted to provide excellent care to women throughout every phase of life, so being an ob-gyn was a natural fit. As I progressed through my training, I found particular joy in the operating room and in caring for women with cancer. ...

Dr. Buckingham has a superb bedside / office manner that Exceeded Expectations. She is very patient in explaining all steps of the treatment, in a way that makes it easy for a layman to understand. I've never felt like I was rushed during an exam with her. She made me feel like I was her most important patient of the day.
