About

Growing up in Chatham County, North Carolina, my parents worked at UNC Hospitals. My mother was an X-ray tech by day; my father a respiratory therapist by night. Hospital "handoffs" gave me my first exposure to the fast-paced, highly impactful world of healthcare.

I wanted to provide excellent care to women throughout every phase of life, so being an ob-gyn was a natural fit. As I progressed through my training, I found particular joy in the operating room and in caring for women with cancer. ...

Dr. Buckingham is the best doctor I've ever came in contact with. I work in the medical field and have worked with several different medical providers. She cares about her patients and their family members. Not only does she care about the patient's medical care, but she also cares about the patient's overall wellbeing as a person. I could be here all day saying how amazing Dr. Buckingham and her staff are!
