Dr.Shashpal is extremely thorough and took time to review my medical history before he set a plan of action for me. He explained my diagnosis, and possible next steps. He also took the time and effort to answer my every question and concern in a way that I would understand.

Dr Shashpal carefully reviewed my history and clearly described my situation including helpful use of a whiteboard. He described a directly relevant medical research study. I am comfortable with his assessment and we agreed on a follow up plan.

I so appreciated the time and care taken to thoroughly listen to my concerns, explain my situation, and relay my options. Fantastic.

I just moved back to NC from California. This was my first time going to Dr. Shashpal. I am very pleased with him. He sat down and asked all kind of questions and answered my questions. We even put a plan together to get me exercising again.

I waited 35 min to see the endocrinologist but I learned a lot from this visit and felt very comfortable with the dr. He listened to me, went I er my history and medications and made some changes suited specifically for my needs.

My expectations were exceeded! My doctor was super kind and knowledgeable and took the time to explain my situation. Care ar Novant Health was truly remarkable!

No doubt this Dr has excellent head knowledge and knows what he is doing but 0-1 in the personality dept. He was there to do a job and that is just what he did. Very short, abrupt answers to any questions I asked. No interest in any info I offered. He is not warm and fuzzy at all and I did not feel "welcomed". As a Dr I'm sure I'm in good hands and after all medical care is what I was there for, right?

Dr. Shashpal was not receptive to my needs. I explained to him my medical history, my family’s medical history, and the multiple eating disorders that have caused severe injury to our bodies. He still insisted on spending at least half of my visit stressing that I should go on an extremely restricted diet that my primary care agreed was unrealistic and untenable. Medical fatphobia is real and kills people. I requested another provider immediately.

Everything I needed to know was addressed professionally.
