From my first visit with my newborn, when I was told that they would potentially need to hospitalize him for not gaining weight quickly enough - without even discussing other interventions first or paying attention to the fact that my milk had just come in. To being told that pumping is more effective than a breastfeeding child (inaccurate). To feeling judged for breastfeeding and, ultimately, coerced into formula feeding, I can't wait to never step foot in this office again. The only reason I am here is because I have Medicaid. And I only have Medicaid because I lost my job early on in pregnancy. I make $135k/year and, this practice has genuinely made me consider either A. Paying out of pocket or B. Opting out of Medicaid (only using it now because it's free) and paying for insurance -- just so I can go where I want. Which is not here. It would be one thing if it was just me, but I hate feeling like my child is a guinea pig for incompetent student doctors.

Dr.Smith in well on her way of being a one in a million doctor. It is beyond refreshing to be a patient of a doctor who listens,offers options,explains those options and a personality which is not forced or mechanical but emits a calm and welcoming atmosphere . Truly one In a million!
