About

My grandfather was a family physician in rural Missouri who traveled long distances to care for his patients. Growing up watching him and spending my childhood on a cattle ranch where I helped care for animals, planted an early seed of interest in medicine and healing. Personal experiences along the way, including breaking both arms in high school, helped me understand what it means to be on the receiving end of care during a difficult time.
