After my 60-year-old father died suddenly from a massive heart attack, my career path was set. I pursued a career in cardiology and have dedicated my life to helping prevent cardiovascular disease.

Keeping up with the latest research on heart disease and sharing knowledge with other physicians are both priorities for me. Being a member of the American Heart Association and the Alliance of North American Chinese Physicians are just two ways I accomplish those goals.

Dr. Zhao is an outstanding cardiologist, and I have been under her care for more than two years. She is exceptionally knowledgeable and remains current with the latest advances in cardiovascular medicine and research. During one of my recent visits, she discussed emerging research on a newly identified protein that has shown promise in improving the diagnosis and risk assessment of heart disease in patients with elevated cholesterol and LDL levels. I was impressed by her commitment to evidence-based medicine and her ability to translate cutting-edge scientific findings into patient care.When my CT scan results were normal, Dr. Zhao did not simply dismiss my symptoms. Instead, she thoughtfully explored other possible causes, conducted a comprehensive evaluation, and provided excellent recommendations for further assessment and management. Dr. Jin was very pleasant and professional. She explained my EKG and what my heart is doing to cause concern. She recommended more in-depth testing, but she listened to me when I asked her if we could revisit the test in a year (we settled on 6-months) so we could track any progression of my issues. I see her again Dec 1.
