When I was younger, I thought I wanted to be a research scientist. I spent seven years in a research lab before earning my PhD in cellular physiology. That time made me realize that, while I enjoy the challenge of solving complex biological problems, I missed human interaction. In medical school I enjoyed my training in every specialty; family medicine thus seemed a natural fit.

He took the time to explain everything and answer any questions. He even advised that if I had more questions, to definitely send chart messages and he would respond quickly. He was not in a rush and made sure I understood everything.
