Program description
The two-year Specialty Pharmacy Administration and Leadership residency program at Novant Health will prepare pharmacy leaders for success in a complex and evolving healthcare environment. This residency program offers candidates the opportunity to train in a large, integrated health-system and gain knowledge, skills, and experience within a well-established, dually accredited specialty pharmacy program working with teams and leaders who are dedicated to improving the health of our communities, one person at a time. Residents will have the option of pursuing an MHA graduate program offered through Pfeiffer University or an MS graduate program offered through UNC Chapel Hill.

Program completion
Upon completion, residents will have gained the following:
- Clinical expertise in specialty pharmacy practice
- Leadership competencies to develop a new or lead an existing specialty pharmacy program
- Completion of a Master’s Degree
- Leadership and project management experience
- Research competencies including project design, data collection, and presentation skills
