Application & Requirements
We accept applications through the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS) each fall. Novant Health participates in and abides by the policies of the National Resident Matching Program.
Six applicants are accepted into the Novant Health Charlotte family medicine residency program each year.

Interviews
Interviews are conducted October through January.
To create consistency and reduce bias, our program offers virtual interviews only.
We do not offer official second-look visits, but if you’d like to plan a visit to see the area or meet some of the residency team in person, please contact us. There is no requirement to visit us; the virtual interview is all that is needed.
Let us know you’re interested.
We use the signaling process: As you are considering where you hope to interview, please plan to signal the programs where you are the most interested in interviewing, regardless of prior interaction or clinical experience with the program.
Equal opportunity
Our residency is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate with regard to gender, race, age, religion, color, national origin, disability, sexual orientation, age, pregnancy or pregnancy-related condition, veteran status, or any other legally protected status. An applicant with a disability should fulfill the resident job description after provision of reasonable accommodations as defined by the Americans with Disabilities Act.
