Our services
A sports injury or orthopedic condition can keep your child from being as active as he or she would like. High-quality care and careful planning can help your child avoid injuries and improve movements. Our team of sports medicine providers diagnoses, treats and manages injuries and conditions that affect movement in children.
In addition to doctors and midlevel service providers, our team includes an athletic trainer who helps to assess patients. The trainer also educates patients on the use of orthopedic devices or how to complete recommended rehabilitation exercises.
Our team also regularly sees and treats other conditions that can affect a child’s ability to remain active, including scoliosis (curvature of the spine) and intoeing (turning the feet inward when walking). Our clinic provides nonsurgical orthopedic treatment of these and other conditions. Should your child need surgery, you would have access to specialists from across the Novant Health network.
Conditions our providers regularly assess and treat include:
- Concussions
- Sprains and strains
- Fractures
- Bone dislocations
- Back pain
- Scoliosis (curvature of the spine)
- Overuse injuries
- Nonsurgical orthopedic concerns such as toeing in, or being “pigeon-toed”
