The pulmonologists at Novant Health Pediatric Pulmonology evaluate and treat infants, children and adolescents with common and complex breathing disorders and conditions.
Our providers work closely with a multidisciplinary care team of experienced professionals to provide optimal care to all of our patients. If an X-ray is needed to diagnose and treat a respiratory condition at the time of your child’s visit, this service is available without leaving the office.

- Lung infection and congestion in smaller airways (bronchiolitis)
- Lung damage caused by long-term respirator use (bronchopulmonary dysplasia)

- Condition that causes scarring of lung tissue (interstitial lung disease)
- Weakened tracheal cartilage (tracheomalacia), which can lead to the collapse of the windpipe (trachea)
- Partial collapse of airway during breathing (laryngomalacia or bronchomalacia)
- Chronic sinus infections and runny nose, which can be caused by primary ciliary dyskinesia (PCD)
- Type of high blood pressure that affects arteries in the heart and lungs (pulmonary hypertension)
- Tightness in the voice box (vocal chord dysfunction)
