Novant Health Pediatric After-Hours Care – Poplar Tent makes it easy for you to get the care your child needs, even when your pediatrician’s office is closed. If your child has a minor illness or injury at night or on a weekend, you can be seen by a provider you can trust that day. You can rest easier knowing your child has been cared for and doesn’t have to wait until the next morning.

We offer services including:

• Care for acute illnesses such as colds, flu, sore throats and upset stomachs
• Care for minor injuries including cuts, burns, sprains and strains
• Simple sutures for wounds
• Removal of sutures or stitches
• Asthma (nebulizer) treatments
• Foreign body removal (splinters; objects in noses or ears)
• Removal of skin lesions including warts
• Weight checks
• Newborn checkups
• Newborn belly button checks (to monitor umbilical cord detachment)
• Biliburibin checks (blood checks to determine jaundice levels)
