Hilton Head Heart – Beaufort understands how important it is to get the cardiac care you need when you need, and in a location close to where you live or work. We are pleased to bring advanced heart care to Beaufort, South Carolina, and the surrounding communities. Our providers focus on both preventive cardiology to help you stay as healthy as possible, and to addressing acute and chronic heart concerns.

We treat conditions including:

• Acute chest pain
• Heart arrhythmia
• Heart failure
• Vascular disease

Our patients have access to diagnostic tools including:

• Advanced cardiac imaging
• Echocardiograms (an ultrasound test to assess the function of heart muscles and valves)
• Electrophysiology (EP) studies (to investigate abnormal heart rhythms)
• Electrocardiograms (EKGs; to assess the electrical activity of the heart)
• Holter monitors (worn to record heart rhythms over time)
• Nuclear stress testing (a test which uses a small amount of radioactive dye to observe how blood travels through the heart at rest and during activity)
• Treadmill stress testing (also called an exercise stress test; used to observe how the heart functions during exercise)

Our providers regularly complete these and other cardiac procedures:

• Cardiac catheterization and stenting (placement of a catheter or stent into the heart either to diagnose a concern or to improve blood flow)
• Pacemaker placement (to regulate or improve heart rhythm)
• Implantable cardioverter-defibrillator (ICD) placement (placement of a device that detects and corrects abnormal heart rhythms)
