Extra support can help your child manage better at home, school

Children and adolescents face complicated situations and emotions. Divorce, depression, abuse, bullying, or the death of a loved one, are just some of the circumstances that can put a heavy emotional burden on a child. Your child may not yet have the skills to cope with the events in their lives. At Novant Health Child & Adolescent Psychiatric Medicine – Kimel Park, we work with children to help them understand the difficult situations they’re navigating, and to help them develop the tools they need to successfully get through them.

If you have noticed for more than a week that your child is struggling with schoolwork, experiencing changes in mood or eating habits, or exhibiting rage or other outbursts, talk to your child’s primary care provider about getting an evaluation in our clinic. We offer play therapy, psychotherapy and medication management to children ages 3 to 18.

Our clinic is located on Kimel Park Drive, just off of Hanes Mall Boulevard in Winston-Salem. We are easily reached via Interstate 40, and are convenient to Clemmons and Lewisville.
