Remarkable care, close to home

Novant Health is dedicated to creating a healthier future and bringing remarkable experiences to life. We have a relentless commitment to ensure you can access advanced medical services from experienced and compassionate providers in your own neighborhood.

We are excited to confirm our plans to apply to build a new hospital in Wake County.

Our commitment to the Triangle extends beyond a new hospital. In fact, Novant Health has a history of serving patients in the area for more than a decade through Novant Health Village Family Care and Novant Health Primary Care Partners – Ligon Mill, both in Wake Forest, as well as through Durham Diagnostic Imaging.

Novant Health Knightdale Medical Center

Our proposed medical center includes hospital beds for general medicine and specialty surgical patients, as well as an emergency department. A medical office building will also be located on the campus. We will share additional details as plans are finalized.

Community Support And Partnership

Novant Health is committed to providing on-the-ground community support. Our community engagement and health equity teams facilitate programs and partnerships that are strategically focused on supporting safe and healthy communities. Our programs improve health and support upward mobility in all communities, especially those that need it most.

We do not take a one-size-fits-all approach. Novant Health identifies local health and social needs vital to our communities’ well-being. We partner with local and community organizations to provide philanthropic support to address identified challenges and deliver solutions.

Each year, we offer hundreds of programs that serve patients, neighbors and some of our communities' most vulnerable citizens. In 2023, we invested $1.6 billion in the communities we serve, including nearly $225 million in financial assistance. We believe that everyone deserves remarkable care that allows them to live their best lives.

Safety And Quality

Novant Health continues to set the highest standards for safety and quality in the communities we serve and received the most “As” for patient safety in North Carolina for The Leapfrog Group’s Spring 2024 scoring period.

We are committed to innovation, and we relentlessly seek solutions to some of our greatest challenges while elevating safety, quality and access to care. Some examples of our forward-thinking care philosophy include:

  • Partnering with Microsoft, Viz.ai and many other leading-edge artificial intelligence (AI) companies to help lead the next generation of AI medical care.
  • Integrating SwipeSense electronic hand hygiene monitoring across the system to enable real-time tracking of safety behaviors.
  • Modeling and predicting healthcare-associated infections before they happen.
