Keep your athletes safe during practices and competitions

Every athletic event involves a certain amount of risk. When you partner with Novant Health to have an athletic trainer cover your practices and games, you can take comfort in knowing your teams are protected. Athletic trainers are medical professionals who are experts at treating sports-related injuries such as sprains and tendonitis. They can also help athletes recover from injuries, improve their performance and stay safe during future games and competitions.

If an athlete needs further care for a broken bone or concussion during an event, our athletic trainers can take care of immediate first aid needs and make sure he or she gets to a trusted provider or orthopedic sports medicine specialist.

Who are athletic trainers?

Certified Athletic Trainers (ATCs) are healthcare professionals who provide services and treatments under the direction of a physician. ATCs provide a range of services, including injury prevention, emergent care, examination and clinical diagnosis, therapeutic intervention and rehabilitation of injuries and medical conditions.
