Billing & insurance

Bill payment made easy

Medical billing can be confusing. The last thing you want is to be distracted by complicated bills while completing your treatment. We have the staff and informational resources available to determine how much of your treatment your health insurance will pay and how much will be your responsibility. By providing you with important information on your medical bills, you will be able to more carefully plan your payment option.

Paying your bill - The bills you receive after an extensive healthcare experience can be confusing. Many people participate in your care and may send separate invoices. This includes separate bills from the hospital, your doctor and any specialists who were involved in your care.

Health insurance plans

In most cases, we will bill your primary health insurance company directly. If we haven’t heard from your insurer after 30 to 45 days, we may ask for your help in contacting them. Amounts that are denied, rejected or unpaid may become your responsibility, depending on your plan type and benefits.

Medicare - If you have Medicare, we will bill it first and then bill unpaid amounts to any supplemental insurance policies you may have. All unpaid balances may become your responsibility, depending on your plan type and benefits.

Medicaid - If you have a Medicaid insurance product, we will bill in accordance with your plan's policy. If we are not listed as a provider with your Medicaid product you may be responsible for the balance.

Self-pay options - For your convenience, we accept most forms of payment including cash, checks, Visa, MasterCard, and Discover credit cards. Payment plans can sometimes be arranged.

You will be classified as "self-pay" if:

  • At the time you are registered, you indicate that you will be responsible for all charges.
  • Your insurance company has paid its portion of the bill, and the remaining balance is your responsibility.
  • You do not have your insurance identification card with you, or you cannot provide accurate insurance information at the time that you are registered.
  • Your insurance does not authorize services rendered.
  • You are receiving services not covered by your insurance (i.e: cosmetic surgery.)
