Our services

Our diabetes educators and registered dietitians are here to help you achieve your health goals. Through educational services and training, we offer guidance to people with type 1 or type 2 diabetes, chronic conditions such as heart disease and food allergies to substances such as gluten. Our team also provides general nutritional information to community members who want to eat better.

Among our services are:

  • Medical nutrition therapy

If you have a condition such as high cholesterol or chronic kidney disease, medical nutrition therapy can play an important role in your treatment. Your registered dietitian will create a personalized diet for you and help you stick to your goals as you adjust to lifestyle changes.

  • General nutrition education

Our nutritionists are available to offer guidance and support to help everyone make smarter food choices.

  • Diabetes self-management program

Through one-on-one and group sessions, our team can help you or your child better manage life with diabetes.

  • Diabetes and pregnancy program

If you have diabetes and are pregnant or trying to get pregnant, we want to help you and your baby stay as healthy as possible. We offer prepregnancy counseling to help you reach a recommended blood sugar (glycemic index) level before you conceive. During pregnancy, we provide blood sugar monitoring and check for signs of high or low blood sugar levels (hyperglycemia and hypoglycemia).

  • Gestational diabetes

If you develop gestational diabetes, it’s likely that you’ll only have the condition while you are pregnant. We can help you manage your diet and stress during pregnancy to help keep your blood sugar levels within the recommended range.

  • Help with diabetes technology

Setting up new glucose sensors and insulin pumps can be confusing, especially if you’re trying to link them to your personal devices or smartphone. Our team is trained to help you switch and upgrade your diabetes technology whenever you feel it’s time for a change. We can also help you use those devices to watch for blood sugar spikes throughout the day. This can help you notice when a pattern is developing, such as consistently high levels in the morning, so you can adjust your diet if needed.
