Application and Admission

To be considered for admission, you must have:

• At least an associate degree
• Overall GPA of 2.5 or higher from an accredited post-secondary education institution (community college, college or university)
• Completed courses (100 level or above) at an accredited post-secondary education institution (community college, college or university) with a grade of C or higher in:
  • 1 course (three semester hours) of English in written or oral communication skills
  • 1 course (three semester hours) in college algebra or higher
  • 1 course (three semester hours) in social/behavioral science (psychology or sociology)
  • 2 courses (four semester hours each for a total of eight semester hours) in biology, chemistry or physics (Courses must include labs. Human anatomy and physiology is an option, but not required.)

You can apply before you finish your degree. If you are in the process of completing prerequisite courses or completing a degree, you must submit proof of enrollment with your completed application form by the January 15 application deadline.

All eligible applicants will be interviewed; however, applicants who have completed prerequisites will be considered before those who are in the process of completing prerequisites. If accepted, entrance is contingent upon proof of graduation and/or a “C” or above in all prerequisite courses.

The Presbyterian Medical Center radiologic technology program will not accept transfer students nor grant advanced placement in the program.

You must complete the program as a full-time student. Class and clinical education hours are scheduled Monday to Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Additional requirements:

• Certified, translated transcripts
• Social Security number
• Green card with I-9 document establishing authorization to work in the U.S.

• How the disability inferences with meeting program objectives
• Specific accommodation requested

Within three weeks of submission, the admissions committee will review the request to determine if you meet disability criteria, and, if so, establish reasonable accommodations. The admissions committee may seek input from Novant Health Employee Occupational Health.
