My grandmother had Type 2 diabetes and eventually lost both her legs - and her life - to the disease. Her illness inspired me to help others and led me to go into endocrinology.

I practice evidence- and guideline-based healthcare and see myself as a partner to my patients. Part of my role is to educate them on the most up-to-date treatments.

Outside work, I like to spend time with my family. My hobbies include running, golfing and spending time outside.
