Our full-service, 24-hour emergency room is prepared to handle a wide range of acute health problems. In addition to being certified as a primary stroke center, we are a nationally recognized chest pain center and our team of sexual assault nurse examiners (SANE) provides comprehensive care to victims of sexual violence.

We also offer a heart disease cardiac rehabilitation program that includes an individualized fitness and education course with state-of-the-art cardiovascular exercise equipment at our gym.

We also participate in the Neurosciences Telemedicine Network so that you have 24/7 access to highly qualified neurologists through videoconferencing. This service is readily available in an emergency or for ongoing treatment of a stroke, brain aneurysm, concussion, brain tumor and epilepsy.

Our expertise includes minimally invasive arthroscopic and laser orthopedic surgery that can shorten your hospital stay and speed your recovery. In many instances, you can go home the day of the procedure.

The Learning Place is a 5-star, full-service child-development center at Thomasville Medical Center staffed by certified, experienced teachers. The Learning Place provides quality education programs in a safe, caring and secure environment designed to meet the individual needs of your child and leave them prepared for formal education.

  • Available to all preschool and school-aged children.
  • Children accepted at six weeks old (or as early as four weeks old with a doctor's statement.)
  • Educational programs start at two months old in the infant rooms.
  • After-school program for children through the fifth grade.
