Making your child feel better is our top priority.

We want your child’s hospital visit to be as easy and comfortable as possible. When you check in to Novant Health Hemby Children’s Hospital, rest assured our highly skilled care teams put your child’s health and well-being first. 

Whether you need help getting around the center, have questions about your child’s treatment, need someone to interpret for you, or want a cup of water, our team members are always available to help. 

If you have any questions during your visit or stay, call the hospital. 

Overnight or inpatient visits 

If your child is scheduled for admission Monday-Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.: 

  • Come directly to Hemby Children's Hospital, located on the second floor of Presbyterian Medical Center, to be admitted. 
  • Park in the visitors’ parking deck at the corner of Hawthorne Lane and Caswell Road. From there, follow the signs to the dedicated Hemby Children's Hospital elevator. When you arrive upstairs, check in at the nurses’ station, and they will direct you from there. 

If your child is admitted outside of the hours of Monday to Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.: 

  • Go to Presbyterian Medical Center Children’s Emergency Department (entrance off Caswell Road, between Randolph Road and 5th Street), and they will direct you accordingly.
