Novant Health Hemby Children's hospital provides comprehensive child and family centered care for in-patient and out-patient services. Our providers work closely with your child's pediatrician to provide a well-rounded treatment of care that may include specialists and pediatric surgeons, caring nurses, nutritionists, physical therapists, and social workers who will find ways to connect you with community resources. Whether your child is receiving in-patient our out-patient services or a combination of both, the staff at Hemby are here to guide and educate you on the best available choices of care for your child's condition, and we will be with you every step of the way.
Overnight or inpatient visits
If you are scheduled for admission Monday-Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., you and your child should come directly to Hemby Children's Hospital to be admitted. Located on the second floor of Novant Health Presbyterian Medical Center, you can park in the visitor’s parking deck at the corner of Hawthorne Lane and Caswell Road. From there, follow the signs to the dedicated Hemby Children's Hospital elevator. When you arrive upstairs, check in at the nurses’ station, and they will direct you from there.
If your child is admitted outside of the hours of Monday to Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m, you can go to Presbyterian Medical Center Children’s Emergency Department (entrance off Caswell Road, between Randolph Road and 5th Street), and they will direct you accordingly.
