Endocrine disorders can affect growth, puberty, weight, metabolism and a range of other issues related to your child’s development. If your child has been diagnosed with a hormonal condition or if you are concerned about his growth or development, Novant Health Pediatric Endocrinology - Midtown is here for you. We care for children and teenagers up to age 18, and offer treatment of and management for pediatric endocrine conditions including:
- Growth problems (such as short stature)
- Early or delayed puberty
- Enlargement of the thyroid gland
- An underactive or overactive thyroid gland
- An underactive or overactive adrenal gland
- Ovarian dysfunction
- Testicular dysfunction
- Diabetes (abnormal blood sugar levels)
- Hypoglycemia (low blood sugar)
- Obesity
- Abnormal vitamin D levels
- Turner Syndrome (a chromosomal disorder in which a female is born with only one X chromosome)
- Prader Willi Syndrome (a genetic disorder caused by a deletion of part of a chromosome)
