Pam Oliver, MD

Pam Oliver

Pam Oliver, MD, is executive vice president and president of Novant Health Physician Network. She is responsible for medical group operations, Care Connections, clinic quality and safety initiatives as well as provider education, enrollment and engagement efforts.

Dr. Oliver is a board-certified ob-gyn and has been practicing at Novant Health WomanCare since 2005. She has served in various leadership roles, including as submarket leader for specialty practices in the greater Winston-Salem market, physician service line leader of women’s services for the greater Winston-Salem market and senior physician executive for Novant Health Physician Network, supporting clinical and business strategy across the system.

Dr. Oliver received her undergraduate degree in biology and her medical degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where she was a Morehead Scholar and Board of Governors’ scholarship recipient. She also earned her master’s degree in public health (maternal and child health concentration) from the UNC School of Public Health while enrolled in medical school. Dr. Oliver currently serves as chair for the Forsyth County Infant Mortality Reduction Coalition. She is a member of the Board of Visitors for the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and also serves on the Morehead-Cain Scholarship Fund Board. In addition, she has served on the Summit School board of trustees since 2015.

Patrick Easterling

Dr. Patrick Easterling

Patrick Easterling is the senior vice president of Novant Health consumer operations. In his role, he oversees various physician alignment strategies to support the organization’s transition to value based strategy.

Over his career, he has held executive-level operations and finance positions at various healthcare organizations including physician group practices, for-profit and not-for-profit community health systems, as well as nationally ranked integrated delivery systems. Easterling most recently served as the interim president of Novant Health shared services supporting the needs of Novant Health’s affiliated hospital partnerships. Other roles include chief financial officer for Novant Health’s greater-Charlotte market and director of finance for physician services. In his role as chief financial officer for Novant Health’s greater-Charlotte market, Easterling helped increase market share from 31 to 43 percent and doubled operating cash flow from $60 to $120 million annually. Under Easterling’s leadership as senior vice president and chief operating officer for Novant Health medical group, the number of employees grew from 250 to 1,020 while operating loss per physician decreased and revenue per physician increased.

Easterling served as the president of the Health Management Physician Network at Health Management Associates from 2011-2013. His scope of responsibility included a physician-employed network of 1,431 primary care and specialty providers located in over 300 locations in 15 states, along with strategies for independent physicians. Before joining Health Management, Easterling co-founded The Greenleafe Group that served several key clients across the industry, including Bon Secours Health System, Charlotte Eye Ear Nose and Throat Associates and the Charlotte-based EMS agency, MEDIC. Earlier in his career, he spent seven years in various finance roles with Gaston Health Care (now known as Caromont Health), a large community health system based in Gastonia, NC.

Patrick earned his Bachelor of Arts Degree in 1990 from Belmont Abbey College, and completed the University of North Carolina’s Leadership Novant program in 2007 and Mckinsey & Company’s Future Business Leader Forum Program in 2016. Patrick is a graduate from and holds alumni status with Harvard Business School having completed the executive education curriculum (AMP194) in 2018.

A graduate of a small West Virginia high school, Patrick was a highly-decorated Bramwell High School Millionaires basketball player, earning all-state honors and recognition as both a McDonald’s and Converse high school all-American honorable mention. His passion for basketball continues, and he maintains a network of coaching professionals at the high-school, collegiate and professional ranks. Patrick is a licensed private pilot and certified scuba diver who thrives in the outdoors enjoying everything Mother Nature has to offer. He also travels locally and internationally with his wife Amber and his children, Ashleigh, Sara, and Chandler. Patrick enjoys piloting aircraft, weekend trips on motorcycles, hunting, fishing, hiking, learning about wine, reading, and spending quality time with family.
