Bridges to Healthcare high school paid internship
The Bridges to Healthcare internship program is an innovative paid program created to assist in closing the skills gap in healthcare by supporting the education of high school students and recent high school graduates. The program provides early exposure to healthcare careers and is offered in two phases.
Phase I – paid internship
Phase I provides high school students with exposure to both clinical and non-clinical careers.
Eligibility criteria and requirements
- 2.5 GPA
- Household income $40,000 or less
- Attend one of the partnering high schools
- Two letters of recommendation
- Valid government-issued photo ID
- Unofficial transcript
Bridges to Healthcare Phase II
Educational assistance for recent high school graduates interested in pursuing healthcare degree at community college.
Eligibility criteria and requirements
- 2.5 GPA
- Household income $40,000 or less
- Attend one of the partnering community colleges
- Current resident

Pharmacy Student Paid Internship Program
Novant Health is recruiting for our paid, longitudinal pharmacy internship program. Pharmacy students may apply to work at any of our acute care hospitals across North Carolina. The Novant Health pharmacy paid internship program provides pharmacy students with a comprehensive learning experience and exposure to hospital and health system pharmacy practice. Pharmacy students will grow professionally and personally, through interaction with health care professionals and support projects that align with health system initiatives.
Eligibility
Must be:
- Incoming pharmacy year one (PY1) or pharmacy year two (PY2) student
- Enrolled and in good standing at a North Carolina school of pharmacy
- Able to work:
- A minimum of 16 hours every third weekend during academic year (scheduled rotation)
- Approximately 32 hours per week during summer break (time off permitted)
- One major holiday and one minor holiday per year
- Additional work hours available
