Helping children get the personalized care they need

At Novant Health Prince William Medical Center, your child’s health is one of our top priorities. Our kid-friendly staff of pediatricians, family medicine doctors and pediatric subspecialists provides compassionate, personalized care in a comforting environment.

If your child needs overnight care, we have a six-bed pediatric unit. All nurses are specially trained in pediatric care and are Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certified.

If your baby needs it, we have a fully equipped neonatal intensive care unit staffed 24/7 with board-certified neonatalogists, neonatal nurse practitioners, and therapists to care for your newborn.

Providing the very best care for your child

Each of our rooms is equipped with a special sleep chair so that a parent may spend the night in comfort. The pediatric unit has fun centers on wheels that are equipped with video game consoles, DVD players and VCRs as well as age appropriate play for children of all ages..

When it's time to eat, your child can choose from an easy-to-use kid’s menu. Just call the nutrition services department and tell them what your child would like and the meal will be delivered within 30 minutes.

  • Breakfast is from 7 a.m. to 10 a.m.

  • Lunch is from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

  • Dinner is from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.

The unit is equipped with its own kitchen, so parents can get a cup of coffee or use a microwave for quick meals.
