Preparation is the key to performing your best and preventing injury. So, we offer:
Concussion is a risk in many sports. Our sports medicine physicians have advanced training in treating concussions and minimizing the risk of more serious complications. Before you play, we recommend baseline testing so that we’ll have a record to help assess your injury if you should suffer a concussion while playing. Adults and children age 10 and older can take the baseline test online.
When you’ve suffered any sports-related injury, we have the special expertise to diagnose and treat all levels of injury. Many Novant Health primary care clinics in the Charlotte area offer sports medicine services.
Novant Health orthopedic specialists can recommend both surgical and non-surgical treatment options for sports injuries. And we offer a full program of both inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation to help get you back in action as soon as possible.
Novant Health also partners with organizations and teams to provide screening, conditioning, education for coaches, parents and players, and game-day medical services. Our sports medicine partners have included Thunder Road Marathon, USA Canoe / Kayak, SwimMAC Carolina and SwimMAC Team Elite, the Charlotte Hornets (NBA), the Charlotte Checkers (AHL) and Union County public schools.
Your team or sports organization is invited to partner with us to build an ongoing program to help your athletes prevent injury, appreciate the importance of good nutrition, and follow safe, highly effective conditioning practices to maximize their potential.
