Medical Director: Jerome E. Williams, Jr., MD, FACC

Dr. Williams is the medical director of Novant Health Heart and Vascular Institute Research. He brings a passion and enthusiasm to clinical research for not only extending, but also improving the lives of people in our community. Dr. Williams’s clinical expertise is invasive and interventional cardiology along with nuclear cardiology.

Jan Brewington, RN, MS, FNP-BC, CCRP, is the director of research for the Novant Health Heart and Vascular Institute   With her clinical expertise and over 25 years of experience in cardiovascular research, Jan has developed a nationally and internationally-recognized research program known for exceptional data collection and high enrollment.  To date, she has managed over 400 cardiovascular trials.

Heather G. Causey BA, CCRP

Heather Grigsby Causey, BA, CCRP, is the clinical research manager for the Novant Health Heart and Vascular Institute  She graduated from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington with a degree in Biology.  Heather has over 12 years of experience in clinical research, specializing in regulatory affairs.
