Our Social Media Community Standards

We welcome respectful engagement and dialogue on Novant Health’s official social media accounts on Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, X, Pinterest, YouTube and TikTok, as well any Novant Health-affiliated social media platform. 

Our administrators reserve the right to delete comments, replies, or other content that violate Novant Health’s Social Media Community Standards and/or the social media platforms’ community standards. We may also report, block, or ban users for violations.

Posts That Will Be Removed and/or Reported Include:

  • Harassing, intimidating, or threatening comments
  • False or defamatory information
  • Comments inciting violence or violating antidiscrimination laws
  • Misrepresentation or hiding of the poster’s identity
  • Sexually explicit or vulgar language and profanity
  • Violation of privacy or confidentiality
  • Promotion of illegal activity
  • Off-topic comments or spam

By posting on Novant Health social media accounts, you assume all responsibility for the security, privacy, and confidentiality risks inherent in sending content over the Internet. Novant Health does not control third-party sites (like any social media site) and cannot safeguard information you post on them.

By posting a comment or other material on Novant Health official social media accounts, you give Novant Health the irrevocable right to use your submission for any purpose in any form and on any media. This includes displaying, modifying, reproducing, distributing, creating other works from, and publishing your submission. Novant Health reserves the right to review and edit all comments before posting.
