I was fortunate to be a stay-at-home mom when my two grown sons were young. When they went to middle school, I felt a strong desire to encourage and support women on their journeys through life. I decided to pursue nursing and returned to school to train for a new career.

In the more than 30 years since then, I've served as a Certified Nursing Assistant, a RN in Labor & Delivery and in the ER, a family nurse practitioner and finally, a certified nurse-midwife.
